Prior to joining SPC, Mr. Quillen was the founder and CEO of W. Quillen Securities, a Finra-Member investment bank, formed in 2001 and sold in March 2009.
Prior to forming W. Quillen Securities, Mr. Quillen was affiliated with Quilcap Corp, initially as outside counsel, and from 2000 to 2002 as in-house counsel and equity analyst. Quilcap Corp. is a long-short, valueoriented hedge fund. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Quillen ran his own law practice focusing on commercial litigation, distressed debt resolution, and securities regulation.
He has also advised hedge funds on commercial litigation affecting publicly traded equity and has served as Chairman, legal counsel, and member of various creditors’ committees in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Quillen is a member of the Bar of the State of New York. He obtained an MBA in Corporate Finance (with Honors) from Pace University’s Lubin Graduate School of Business in 1997, a JD from New York Law School in 1994, and a BA in Political Economics from Skidmore College in 1989.
Prior to joining Stage Point Capital, Mr. Cutler held executive leadership roles in construction, energy & distribution with a primary focus on markets in the commercial multi-family, government and utility sectors. His executive level experience in finance, distribution and construction spans more than 30 years. In addition to serving as a manager of SPC, he also manages 1700 REED, LLC, a real estate investment company and an SPF Fund borrower, operating in the greater Philadelphia market.
Prior to 1700 REED, Mr. Cutler served as the CEO of Potomac Resource Group, LLC (PRG) managing a nationwide building material distributor that specialized in construction & sustainable energy projects based in Mclean, VA. Prior to PRG, he was a financial adviser at Prudential Securities in Washington, DC. He earned a BA from Middlebury College in Vermont and earned an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining Stage Point Capital, Paula worked as the Corporate Controller for companies in the Legal, Telecommunications and Real Estate Industries. She brings 20+ years of experience in preparing and analyzing financial and operational details for service companies.
Paula earned a BS from the University of Massachusetts, College of Management with a concentration in Accounting and Finance in 1995. She also has served as a Notary Public in Massachusetts since 2005.
Paula resides in Pembroke, MA with her husband and two sons.
Prior to joining Stage Point Capital, Mr. Rice was an analyst and operations manager at Human Resolution Technologies, LLC (HRT). His duties included accounting, account management, supporting capital allocation decisions, and developing internal healthcare management systems focused on driving company efficiency.
Prior to joining HRT, Mr. Rice was a summer associate and financial assistant to Managing Partner at Meads Bay Capital, a BioTech hedge fund where he analyzed IPO’s, attended roadshow presentations and met management teams.
Mr. Rice earned a BS in Psychology at the University of St Andrews in 2019, where he captained the Men’s Squash team.
Prior to joining SPC, Scott was a data scientist for Artorius Capital Management, a private equity fund, where he assembled data, monitored trading, and evaluated performance on all trading strategies within the portfolio.
Prior to Artorius, Scott worked at Third Wave Development as an underwriting associate conducting initial analysis on all incoming properties and assisting the managing partner in capital raising.
Scott received his MBA in Finance from The University of Wisconsin, Madison and his BA in Economics from the University of Miami.
Sanjeev joined Stage Point Capital (SPC) in 2020, where he manages Stage Point Alternatives (“SPA”), an investment advisory business of SPC. He also leads the capital raising activities for Stage Point’s Funds. In addition, he is a strategic advisor to a health tech SaaS and a specialty finance company.
Previously, he spent 20+ years at major financial firms including Oppenheimer & Co., Bear Stearns Asset Management, UBS Dillon Read Capital Management, and JP Morgan in the areas of portfolio management, investment banking and institutional sales.
Sanjeev holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University, an MS in Computer Information Systems from The City University of New York, and a BA (Honors) in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Delhi, India.
In additional to co-founding SPA along with Sanjeev Khurana, Mark’s role at SPA is to manage its global asset-based acquisitions and advisory business across all ‘hard assets’. Prior to joining SPA, Mark was a co-founder of Akkadian Investment Management, which was acquired by SPC. Mark has worked over 22 years in significant positions for top-tier international banks, companies and lessors as well as serving on the Board of Directors of an LSE-listed private equity fund. Mark is a specialist in structured finance, capital markets, banking, and cross border private equity, with extensive established relationships and expertise in all manner of structured credits.
Previously, Mark built the U.S. debt capital markets, cross border distribution, and structured finance platforms for a global top-20, trillion-dollar Asian bank. Mark also spent six years as a Director of Capital Markets at a major multinational bank where he was responsible for managing a $2 billion portfolio. Prior to those endeavors, he worked in significant roles for the largest private aviation lessor (finance, lender relations, marketing), a top-8 airline (Treasury, FP&A, business strategy), and in government service.
Mark earned both his M.B.A and M.A. from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, studied at Philipps Universität in Marburg, Germany, and received his B.A. in International Relations from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. Mark maintains speaking, reading and writing proficiency in German and a conversational knowledge of Mandarin. He is a frequent speaker on financial and cross-border issues at conferences and universities in the US and overseas.
Michael is responsible for SPA client relations as well as the operational management of the firm’s SMA portfolios and is SPC’s interim controller. He brings to SPA a wealth of experience in structured finance, capital markets, alternative investments and operations though his career in both asset management and investment banking.
Prior to joining SPA in 2023, Michael was an Executive Director at a New York based specialty finance company and SEC Registered Investment Adviser where he led the firm’s strategic projects initiatives, including among other things, the development and ongoing management of structured investment vehicles offering sophisticated investors the opportunity to invest in diversified trade finance portfolios. Michael also spent 12 years as an Executive Director of MS Global Finance, a boutique investment bank and advisory firm where he was responsible for the origination, credit analysis, structuring and private placement of structured finance and private credit transactions in the developing and emerging markets worldwide. Michael began his career at Emerging Markets Securities LLC, where he played an instrumental role in the structuring and ongoing management of multiple securitized trade finance funds (CLOs) valued at nearly $200 million.
Michael holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder where he also minored in Economics.
