Prior to joining SPC, Whitney was the founder and CEO of W. Quillen Securities, a FINRA-Member investment bank, formed in 2001 and sold in March 2009. Prior to forming W. Quillen Securities, Whitney was affiliated with Quilcap Corp, initially as outside counsel, and from 2000 to 2002 as in-house counsel and equity analyst. Quilcap Corp. is a long-short, value- oriented hedge fund. From 1994 to 2000, Whitney ran his own law practice focusing on commercial litigation, distressed debt resolution, and securities regulation. He has also advised hedge funds on commercial litigation affecting publicly traded equity and has served as chairman, legal counsel, and member of various creditors’ committees in bankruptcy proceedings.
Whitney is a member of the Bar of the State of New York. He earned an MBA in Corporate Finance from Pace University’s Lubin Graduate School of Business in 1997, a JD from New York Law School in 1994, and a BA in Political Economics from Skidmore College in 1989.
Prior to joining SPC, Bill was Chief Financial Officer of EcoGen Laboratories, a vertically integrated, institutional scale grower of industrial hemp, and pharma-quality producer of federally legal cannabis-derived specialty ingredients. Previously, Bill worked for several bulge-bracket financial services institutions, with a focus on financial analysis and consumer strategy in retail and luxury goods. Bill led Deutsche Bank’s U.S. equity research team in coverage of the retail sector for over eight years. For several years, Bill was ranked as a top analyst covering the retail, broadlines and department store sector in both the Institutional Investor and I.I. Alpha polls. Bill began his Wall Street career with five years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation, covering the retail sector with DLJ’s #1-ranked Institutional Investor all-America research team.
Bill earned an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1994 and a BA in Political Science from George Washington University in 1989.
Prior to joining SPC, Sanjeev was a co-founder of Akkadian Investment Management, which was acquired by SPC. Previously, Sanjeev was Managing Director of FIG Investment Banking at Oppenheimer & Co. Sanjeev brings 22+ years of experience in the areas of investment banking, capital markets, institutional sales, portfolio management and advisory services at major investment banks & regional financial firms. He has established relationships with an array of investors, sponsors, lenders and service providers globally in the areas of asset backed finance, structured credit and specialty finance. Sanjeev was the co-founder of Nariman Point Advisors, a boutique NY broker dealer that focused primarily on structured credit sales and trading.
Sanjeev holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University, an MS in Computer Information Systems from The City University of New York, and a BA (Honors) in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Delhi, India.
Prior to joining SPC, Mark was a co-founder of Akkadian Investment Management, which was acquired by SPC. Mark has worked over 22 years in significant positions for top tier companies, lessors, and domestic and international banks as well as serving on the Board of Directors of an LSE-listed private equity fund. Mark is a specialist in capital markets, banking, cross border private equity, and structured finance with extensive established relationships and expertise in all manner of structured credits. Prior to working with Akkadian Investment Management, Mark built the U.S. debt capital markets, cross border distribution, and structured finance platforms for a global top-20, trillion-dollar Asian bank. Mark also spent six years as a Director of Capital Markets at a major multinational bank where he was responsible for managing a $2 billion portfolio. Prior to those endeavors, he worked in significant roles for the largest private aviation lessor (finance, lender relations, marketing), a top-8 airline (Treasury, FP&A, business strategy), and in government service.
Mark earned both his M.B.A and M.A. from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, studied at Philipps Universität in Marburg, Germany, and received his B.A. in International Relations from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. Mark maintains speaking, reading and writing proficiency in German and a conversational knowledge of Mandarin and also is a frequent speaker on financial and cross-border issues at conferences and universities in the US and overseas.
Prior to joining StagePoint Capital, Haydn held executive leadership roles in construction, energy and distribution with a primary focus on markets in the commercial multi-family, government and utility sectors. His executive level experience in finance, distribution and construction spans more than 30 years. In addition to serving as a manager of SPC, he also manages 1700 Reed, LLC, a real estate investment company and an SPF Fund borrower, operating in the greater Philadelphia market. Prior to 1700 Reed, Haydn served as the CEO of Potomac Resource Group, LLC (PRG) managing a nationwide building materials distributor that specialized in construction and sustainable energy projects based in Mclean, VA. Prior to PRG, he was a financial adviser at Prudential Securities in Washington, DC.
Haydn earned an MBA in International Business from Georgetown University in 2003 and a BA in English from Middlebury College in 1989.
Prior to joining SPC in 2014, Bart managed a portfolio of residential and commercial properties controlled by BBE Group Holdings (a Quillen family office), a New York-based LLC with holdings in real estate and private equity.
From 2005 to 2012 he was President of Prague Kolektiv Inc., a Prague and New York-based importer and atelier that he founded. The firm served architects and the interior design trade in U.S. and international markets.
From 2001 to 2004 Bart served as a Managing Agent for Q Properties LP, a family-held real estate partnership based in New York where he managed the firm’s residential construction projects. Prior to 2001 he held several overseas management positions including a Prague-based real estate partnership he co-founded that successfully developed two residential apartment buildings.
Bart earned an MBA from Georgetown University in 1998 and a BA in History from Princeton University in 1990.
Prior to joining Stage Point Capital, Paula worked as the Corporate Controller for companies in the Legal, Telecommunications and Real Estate Industries. She brings 20+ years of experience in preparing and analyzing financial and operational details for service companies.
Paula earned a BS from the University of Massachusetts, College of Management with a concentration in Accounting and Finance in 1995. She also has served as a Notary Public in Massachusetts since 2005.
Paula resides in Pembroke, MA with her husband and two sons.
